Blessings....

TORNADO

Yep we did have a tornado in little Washington terrace Utah!  Something I didn’t think Id check or even put on a bucket list-haha!

So it was last Thursday, it started blowing really bad after the guys got home from work, Jordan went to mow lawns, dad and I were home and it started to rain, clouds were dark, we soon heard the rain change direction and hit the front of the house really hard, so I went to get my fall stuff of the front porch, the rain was crazy and the wind was so fast, I called your dad to come and see, it was crazy, it was blowing in a circle in the culdesac, counterclock wise and the rain was not falling to the ground except in a few spots, it was raining sideways, then we heard hail hitting the back of the house, thought windows would break so we went to the back of the house and watched it hail, dime size hail, didn’t think for a moment a tornado, didn’t look to the sky, didn’t look anywhere but our yard, silly, when we were on the porch there wasn’t a sense of panic, the wind was swirling in the culdesac but not on our porch, almost like we were looking inside….anyways lasted really bad for about a half hour, then our power went out, we were going to burkley parkinsons wedding reception, and we started getting notices that a tornado touched down in the terrace, lots of people asking if we were ok, fortunately we were, the house was good, our drive to Kaysville was an hour long, power out everywhere, traffic lights out, trees down, leafs everywhere….well after the reception we began to hear more about the damage in the terrace, the Sewells house was a direct hit and that is the house I sent you pictures of, their house has been condemned, along with 21 other homes, it continued to rain until early Saturday morning, our power was out for about 20 hours, amazing the things we take for grantide, the guys all got up Saturday morning and went to the senior center to help where they could, lots of people showed up, funny they put the guys in charge of cleaning gutter grates and drains, kinda frustrated they did what they were asked and wanted to more, like with equipment, however that call came later that afternoon, dad and Jordan used the mini ex to clean up metal sheds that had been destroyed and loaded trailer to haul off, they also load trees and did that for a few hours, then Sunday, right after sacrament meeting our family, and a few others took the mini ex right across the street to a house that had been hit by 4 large pine trees and cleaned up branches, trees and hauled 6 loads to the dump….we feel so very blessed to have survived and that there were very minor injuries through the whole city, it also it a small part of Riverdale, picked up cars and moved them at sams club and knocked down trees too, Dad and the boys saw trailers like camp trailers that had blown across the streets and upside down…such a great blessing that we were missed, Soooo how was your week?How was the birthday dinner at villanuevas? How was your meeting with Pres Madsen at his house? Baptims this past week? You are on a roll 😊 And do you have water yet?

Can you believe it is conference time this weekend again, seems to have gone fast! And that also means that this weekend I can say you come home this month, sorry don’t want to make you trunky, but I am so excited and happy we get to see you soon!!! I am at a loss most of the time for the words to express gratitude for the blessing that you are and the blessings that we receive by having a missionary out serving the Lord! I am so very blessed to have such a great family and often feel so inadequate, but strive to be a better person because of all of you and the great examples you are!  I love to go to the singles ward sacrament with dad, I don’t get to sit with him because he is on the stand, but he looks so happy and is doing such a great job, what a great example of a hard worker and priesthood holder he is and how grateful I am that each of you have him to look up to and that you are following, and serving as our savior would….I love you justeroo, please know that we can feel of your testimony hear at home and especially on Mondays when we get to chat and hear about your experiences in the mission field! You are such a great example of serving without complaint, you serve with your whole heart and your face shows that you have the spirit with you!!! Please continue to follow the promptings of the holy ghost and be safe in your daily activity and those things you do,  Hope that you have had a very super week and a great day!

I am off to go shopping for a surprise party for Gma sheri tonight, her bday was last Friday and gpa wants to surprise her tonight with all of us there with a story to tell about her, if you have one, I will share it for you….and I am hoping you have a picture for me this week for homecoming invite, if not I will pick on from your blog 😊 I treasure you, be happy and I will chat with you soon! WOW i am honestly Shocked that that happned... haha but im sooo gld that you guys are all good!! i am doing good and Concilio was super good with president but to be honest it made me really trunky... because we started to put dates and goals for November and it was jsut a shocker it honestly hit me really hard... hahaha and dinner for my comp was really good they are a great family and we didnt have any baptisms this week... haha but we talked with the stake presidnecy to do a white night... or all of the missionaries in the Zone are going to be putting baptism dates for the 22 of ocotber and we are all going to baptize the same day.... we are hoping that as a Zone we can have around 20.... that is our goal and it would really be sweet!!! to have a lot of members there and to have around 20 bapisms!! it wold be great!! this week me and my comp went to eat and a sister gave us a ride but the sister had to pull over and pick somehting up and so she pulled over and we were on the side of the highway.... its like a road really busy like riverdale road... and while she was gone we were sitting in the car with her kid and my comp was on the side of the traffic and he had his arm out the window just resting... and all of a sudden a taxi flew by and the side mirror of the taxi hit the side mirror of the car that we were in.... and the taxi just drove off..... haha me and my comp were kind of shocked and mad and stayed in the car with the kid and when his mom got back we explained what happened and she was in shock too... the more we thought about it we knew that a miracle had happened and that my comp didnt loose his arm,....... it was crazy..  this weeek we were able to teach lazaro and Lourdes and Flor... they are having some family problems.. they are the family of Raul... last night we went over and we started to talk aout the family with thema dn we dedicated there house.. Good experience!  and we have had a busy week and this week we are going to be planning more of the White night because the Stake presidnecy is in contact with us alot and us with them... and we also have to plan a Zone Conference for next week!!  soooo im good and happy we have agua because we bought a pipa... a little truck to give us water.. ha had a good week! all happy!!

Wow, you have had a great week! Full of miracles…so grateful that the taxi didn’t run into the car all together, and that it was just the mirror and that your comp was not hurt!!! Our plane is scheduled to land at 6:20, but we can rent a car so we have it for the week… That is soooo nice of the villanuevas, we certainly don’t want to impose and a white night, how great that would be to see and attend! We will have to call them and chat as it gets  a little closer…glad that you have water now, do they bring you big bottles of water or how does that all work?  Did you get a picture for invite? Haha! I will add Rauls family to temple prayer roll again this week, I will call a few temples…I am bringing a book for Prs Madsen and Villanuevas do you have other people you would like to give one too, it is a picture book of christs life in paintings…. What have you been up to today?
I talked to Armel today and he said that maddi was bit by a dog last week on the hand, the poor girl cant seem to catch a break lately, add her to your prayers 😊 At the Parkinson wedding Tiffany said that Becca would really like to date you when you get home, and they for sure will be at your homecoming, shes a cutie 😊 see things lining up already-big smiles

yes full of miracles... but honeslty mom i was over there last night with them and she asked me about things.. and she offered.. she was totally willing and we can go with them on tours and it just works out.... there really is no need to rent a car.. ha if you guys dont want to... nope that would be great for pres, and for Villanuevas.. and today i went to the secreaty to migration... haha jsut for fun,,, haha could you also put these names that ill send to the temple.. plese

Ok…that is ssoo nice of them, just didn’t know if you want to visit other members in other areas? Up to you, you know the area and who you would like to visit…. So excdited! You went to migration just for fun- was it as fun as you thought it was going to be? Do you have all your paper work in order? Is everything good for you to leave legally? Haha! Yes ill put names in the temple….

im still thinking about that... haha and how we could do it.. pres said that he could also let us barrow his car to drive out... haha soo ill check more with them.. not really not as fun... but yes im all good legally... hahaha 

Dad said he thinks our hotel has a shuttle that would take us to rent a car so maybe we could do stuff with them for a few days and then we could rent a car for a few days too, no worries we will work it all out, but be making a list of things that you want to do, and people you want to see, food you want us to eat….we can go from there, of course we will do church on Sunday, and we would like to do the temple maybe Tuesday morning, so other than that we are on your schedule 😊 soooo excited!!! Is there anything that you would still like to buy for souvenier to bring home, stuff to remember your mission?

ok sounds good!!!! i think on monday we are going to visit around and go to some places with the villanuavas and then on tuesday go to the temple and maybe go out to Etla to visit some people and some members and then Wednesday we can go and see more sights... im still thinkin... haha yes a few things... but im still thinking of what... hahaha 

On Monday will we still be with comp cause its pday?  As organized as you always are I am sure you will have it all worked out in the next few weeks…. Just an off the wall question, do you know what or where marcus is going to live when he comes home? I think his mom is in a care facility, last I heard, is he going to try and play ball as well?

im not for sure but i dont think he will be with us... i think that he should have his new comp... im not sure i havent asked.... ill ask though

Gotcha, if he is with us we can just take him with us for pday, that’s what we did with jordans comp….so why really did you go to immigration?
because the other secretary left with my comp for a sec.. and so i was stuck wit h him and just went cuz he needed to do somethings..
Hmmm, that’s good, are you doing divisions or splits again before you go home? How was meeting with pres last week, what did you chat about?

yes i think ill be doing maybe 2 splits.... with the asistants and with the DL..

it rained alot

Yes you are getting a lot of rain!!! I need to bring an umbrella, is it a cold rain?  Are you staying warm? Dad is still at work but I just talked to him and he says hi and he loves you tons, keep smiling and being super!!! He is very proud of you!! You have money in your account if you need anything, please use it if you need it!  So excited for you to see jax play ball, he may have earned his starting spot back, they play mountain crest this week and they have lost a lot of seniors to the new high school in cache valley so hoping we will get another win, he is loving things….he played with a J and #44 over his heart last game…it meant a lot to him and I know he is anxious for you to see him play again…the Fremont fans did a lot of damage to the stands and royal sign after the game, dumped paint everywhere and stomped in bleachers, left beer cans under the stands, pretty sad, the principles are taking care of things between the two schools and hoping that it can become a more friendly rivalary, we have beat them every year since the plain city prayer and they really thought they were going to get the win this last time, it was a good game…they showed your play several times on tv when they talked about the game on the news what are you doing tonight, have fhe?

its kind of some warm rain... i mean its cold just a tad bit... haha but its all good  thats sooooo swesome !! i cant wait to see him play!! and i cant wait to play again!! honestly haha thats funny about fremont.. we even bea them my jr year... we womped them... ha tonight we are going to be having a FHE with a Family taht we want to get baptized for the white night... well jsut the 2 little kids becausethe mom is a member.. ha

yep i got rings for them and there names are on the list and there mom is single i think she got divorsed... sadly.. but we are going to talk about how Christ made his church!! and i was thinking Weber o snow... 

Sounds awesome!  I know that things will work out for you, faith without works is dead and you are a worker full of faith so I am not worried about you and achieving your goals!How is Raul and Jose? Are they in the same ward? Do they want to serve missions?

i actually put buckets out today.. and we called a truck that has a huge water tank and it came and jsut filled up the water.. so i think we should have agua por como una semana... and its not a story.... but i always love it when she swears..... haha noo but i also love the one time we were talking about the guy coming out of the closet in the old folks home and she asked why he was in the closet.... haha sooooo inoccent..  love her.. idk.... haha

He looks like he is spending a lot of time with his little bro, I thought we might see him at a roy game, but haven’t yet, probably because the crowds are so big…I forgot to tell you that jax was at practice the day of the tornado and saw the clouds develop and Jordan was driving in it coming home from doing lawns, jace was home by then, kenzi was at work, it was blowing vents open and letting the rain inside her building, such a great blessing that all were ok….so crazy   Is all of your rain part of rainy season or hurricanes?

Wow soooo we all had a readlly good week!! haha am for me it also went by super duper fast!! good ob dad on your race thats is sooo great!! UMM so last week the secretaries from bosque asked me to check a record of a kid and so we did we went to the secretaries and they couldnt find the name either and so on friday we found out that Jose was going to get batpized with Raul... we already had Raul planned but jose was just kindof a blessing and it was super great!! all of the FHE turned out really good for both the wards... the presidnet of the stake invited us in to do the yell with thme and so we did we yelled ViVa!!  like Viva Mexico... but then we left and we thought noo.... hahaha and we started to sing the star spangled banner. haha and yes Raul got baptized and it was great bosque reall support us we had to move the program to the sacrement room because theere was sooo many people... and it was sooo greta!! today was changes and we are pretty exhausted... sorry the computer is kind of dumb... want to wite more but the key board is hard and dumb.... ha but we had a good week and we are gonna be meeting with presidnt this week in his  house and ya we will be busy again!!! love you guys have a good week!

no i got time but the key board is soosoo dump... ha i can write! 

What a great blessing for jose to be baptized too, how old is he and did he think he had been baptized before? Do they do fireworks and party like we do for the 4^th?

Work turned out to be super crazy, lots of ground water to work with, lots of yelling and swearing, needless to say we got 7 lengths of pipe in and no one is happy!! Ugh!!!

Hopefully tomorrow goes better!

he is 14 and has gone to the temple and has the priesthood and we had to baptize him again because he had no record... there were a few fireworks not asmany as i thought... yes were were everywhere haha and we have a good DL and some good new sisters that came!! ha its gonna be a good last transfer!! yes ill ask him!! he was a little upset that the U beat the Y... haha i was textng him the night of the game asking him how things went...

I think that you may be cold when you come home to Utah, although I have been watching your weather and we are the same right now for temps but you are getting a lot more rain…it is supposed to drop to 50 by the end of the week here, and it makes me sad, I am not ready for summer to go away, love the warmer temps…

When we come to visit can we wear shorts to visit members or should we be in church clothes?

it would be more of a yell just ugly color... haha its a trick.... ;) lots and los of faith.. ;) 

Hmmmm, so whats the trick because if you colored it it would dye the clothes….you must have a whole lot of faith!!! I love all the pictures you look very happy and have the spirit of Christ in your face, your smile and your eyes, you are doing his work and it shows!! I hope that you can always remember these moments have feelings! Keeping good journal I am sure!

I got a waffle for free for my bday!! haha from a good friend named Carlos! 

and these are some people that i met out in Miahuatlan.,. that came to the surpise baptism that just kind of happened in our church building.. 

What a great surprise, a baptism, best kind! Who is carlos, is he the elder you are with? The people are so tiny….waffle looks yummy, we should have those instead of cow gut soup-haha!

carlos is jsut a guy we met on the street and he sells waffles.. talks alittle bit of englsih.. hes a cool kid! hes 22.. 

Have you taught him the gospel?  Is there still the protesting going on?

he has talked with missionaries before and he works alot and doesnt live in our area.. but a little bit.. but we are always safe.. so no worries!! 

😊 I ask about protests wondering if it will affect our travel next month…I am certainly grateful that you are always safe, we pray for it several times a day!  So what kind of things do you teach the kids when you find them, different from the adults I would guess, have they usually heard about Jesus? Been able to give away ctr rings?

i think that thinks may be a litlte more calm when you guys come... maybe... im hoping sooooo hahaha but i am also hoping for good weather.. haha ummm what time are you guys going to be here on saturday??

Did you get to do service last week in between all of your interviewing? How is apartment and are you feeling good and taking good care of your physical body?

yes i feel good and we were able to give some what of service.. we helped a guy try and jump his car by pushing it but it didnt start.. and now worries if not.. i dont wanna make anything inconvienent.. haha any problems..

How did you find hugo and elmer, did you knock doors? Do you still knock doors? This area been pretty safe as far as drunk people yelling at you and chasing you down in cars?

Ive seen a few pictures of last comp on fb for mission and wondered if he took his machete with him when he left? Haha!

yes the big goof ball took it with him..  but its all good and yes we found them by knocking doors.. haha 

Hello mother and Father this week was a really busy week... on tuesday like you know we were on divisions with the asistants and it wwent really really well actaully and i learned alot.. and then we came back and wednesday we went out and saw Raul and is is doin good but wasnt for sure this week about his baptism but for sure this week he is really excited and wanting it more and more and yesterday the old bishop talked with him and got him to calm down so now he isnt to nervous.. and on thursday we went to the offices so that my comp could get his visa done and we found a new family to teach the mom is less active and she has two kids that arent baptized.. ones 8 and the other is 10.. there names are hugo and Elmer.. haha they are really cool.. and on friday i went and i did the 3 interviews again and the kids were able to pass and we actaully had 3 inv.. that came to there baptism to see, so that was super great.. on friday we got a call from some other elders that arent in my zoneand they had 2 baptisms in my church.. in our church and so we had to help them out with the cleaning and everything... it was a busy week.. and this week on wednesday we are hoping to go to the temple with Karla and see her do some baptisms... and on friday we are going to be cleaning the font and getting things ready because we are going to be trying to attend 2 other baptisms other then ours... and its my comps bday next sunday and its gonna be a crazy busy week again!!!! oh and presidnet Villanuevas daughter is going to be opening her Mission call tonight at 630 and they invited us to go so thats gonna be super fun!!!! :) love you guys!! i am sooo happy that the U won.... i texted presidnet during the night to ask how the game was and he told me it wasnt over yet... then texted back like 5 minutes later and said that the UTes won.... hahahahahahah love youguys have a good week!!!! happy Bday Jace!!!!! and Jax]!! love you guys! ANDDDD YES I GOT MY PACKAGE!

Yea! What a great great week!! You are super busy and finishing 4^th quarter like a trooper!! Keep up the good work Justeroo, you are in tune with the spirit and it shows!! So happy for you and the people that you are teaching! Wouldn’t it be awesome if her call came to Utah!! Have pres text us where she is going if he thinks about it after all the excitement settles down, would she be his first missionary!

And I am so happy you got your package, We are trying to sit by each other on the plane rides I believe we have seat assignments for one leg and we are the other leg we haven’t been assigned yet, but Ill keep you posted!

So I saw something about Mexico independence day this week, what are you doing to celebrate? Does everything close for the holiday? Any big parties?  Will you continue to teach hugo and elmer? Is mission office in your zone?

thanks! but the mission office isnt in my zone but im super close to it..  yes she is going to be the first after her father.. and we are going to be having a FHE on friday and they are going to have people come to the church and show us old painting and traditional food and things like that.. its gonna be good!! yes we are going to keep teaching them but there dad takes them on sundays and so its hard for them to come to church... it kind of stinks.. 

So when you go to the temple do you get to do conformations or anything while you are there? Did I understand right, Raul is getting baptized this Saturday? Do you have others close to baptism too…

So glad package made it, I was worried because beef jerky is on the no send to mexico list….did pants fit? I like the tie you are wearing in the picture, you look great! Friday sounds very fun, be sure to take lots of pictures. I will put the boys name in the temple and dad to see that they need to go to church 😊

yes we will be able to do somthing.. the temple workers are always happy when missionaires get there to help out.. ha yes he is hes finally getting baptized this week!!!!!  yes pants fit they are supe blue.. haha i have them on right now....

That’s awesome to work in the temple and help out where ever, such a great peace is there.  Tell raul we are happy for him and so excited for him, he will be a great missionary someday 😊

Comp get a bday package from home? Tell him happy bday, will he be 20?

How are things with him, have transfers past and he stayed?

oh well thanks!! ill be sure to tell him!! and he is waiting for one. maybe next monday hell get one. and hes turning 20 yes!! and we are having transfers next monday i honestly feel like we are both staying here..

So Janelle gis in rs pres with us now and she shared this scripture and ive had it in my head all week, Phillipians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me, I clicked on strengtheneth me in scriptures and it says “don’t be unduly concerned about anything” makes me think, I need to have more trust and faith and less fear and worry about things in life and know that our savior strengtheneth for us and helps me in everything…so there is my ponderize…big smiles!

Awesome scriptures, what a great missionary you are, and they are very applicable for coming up conference too!  So very proud of you for so many reasons, you have grown in your testimony and knowledge of the scriptures so much! What a great treasure your mission is!
